A note on ownership: Universal Music as inheritors of the Lansdowne series on Columbia EMI, by way of Polygram, have the rights to reproduce the albums Integration (which they have, and which is of course welcomed by all), Reflections, Dream Sequence and Hum Dono. The album Konkan Dance is not their domain but, Joyce D’Silva’s, and as such she has gladly licenced the track “A Street in Bombay” to Universal for a limited period of time.
Apart from these professional recordings, very good live “bootlegs” exist from the 80’s mainly, most of which were recorded on portable Agra, Tascam or similar tape machines, featuring notable Indo-jazz, Folk and Avant-garde line-ups among others. At some point perhaps some of this could be made available. We’ll see.
